Low water absorption determines the weathering of this stone: even the harsh climatic conditions are not able to harm its products. High compressive strength – from 1400 to 2500 kgf/cm2 provides durability of granite. As experience shows, the product of fine-grained varieties of this stone able for centuries to preserve its original appearance, and the first signs of disintegration are found only in 500 years. An important characteristic that allows use of granite for building, decorating and creating architectural structures is the ease of processing, including polishing, which allows to create almost mirrored surfaces, so spectacular to look at and pleasant to the touch.
